Location Shoot: International DJ & Producer AC Slater

AC Slater, according to Mixmag is, “The finest producer in the world named after a character from the early 90′s high school comedy ‘Saved by the bell’ “. I would go further and say he is one of the nicest people I’ve had a chance to work with and has no fear of farmyard animals! After testing his resolve early on in the shoot with the tiniest chihuahua I have ever seen, it was onto the pigs and goats. No hesitation and no fear! Unfortunately, the giant rabbits were having a off day but being in the pig pen was amazing. The funniest part of the shoot was when I got sneezed on by the pig.. Pig snot is like glue and the very helpful pig handler stepped in and peeled it off as I was having trouble shaking it free. Here are my favourites:

The talented Miss Lealea Jones

This is actually a shoot from last year but I’m a bit slack when it comes to posting new work and besides these shots are only just beginning to roll out. Lealea Jones is a very talented songstress from hackney with a very bright future ahead of her. As well as supporting acts such as Jay Z, Beyonce & Amy Winehouse; she has also been asked to pen a song for Rihanna! She is also great to watch live, with a sassy, jazzy style that I love. Photographing events is always fun and gives you access to places you wouldn’t normally be allowed. In this case The Ivy Club, Annabel’s in Berkeley Square and Soho House. Fantastic venues. First was a Champagne masterclass with a Moet Hennesey Champagne Expert at Annabel’s. Then a classy DJ night at Soho house. Then I was so excited to photograph a Sushi masterclass at The Ivy. Wentworth golf club have just refurbished one of the lounges in the Tennis & Health Centre, so as I was there shooting for their club magazine, they asked me to photograph the new room. Shot a few wide shots of the room and then a few lifestyle type images.

The Cheerful Soul Restaurant Opening

I was there covering the PR photography for the opening party for the cheerful soul restaurant at the hare & hounds in Marlow on Saturday. Michelle & Russell where the winners of the BBC series ‘the restaurant’ and they are now up and running! Raymond Blanc is their mentor and he was there in fine form. Raymond has terrific energy and was a joy to work with and photograph. The food was fantastic and I’m going to enjoy going back there for a full meal as the canapés were heavenly. The restaurant has a lovely feel about it, with lovely decor which I enjoyed taking pictures of. All those little details…
